It’s been a while since I did a roundup of highlights from the Instagram account. This selection is less about travel… unless maybe you look at it as travel through time since I’ve been featuring photos I took on my very first digital camera back in the pre-iPhone days.
Back in November I was in the Chicagoland area and stepped outside one morning to take a (not black and white even though it looks it) picture.
We have had a glorious winter here in the Pacific Northwest with abundant sunshine (for this time of year) and mild temperatures. That has meant hiking, hiking, hiking through moss-covered glades.
It has also meant some crazy beautiful sunrises and sunsets. I don’t have a great view for either, but sometimes my eastern-facing office is suffused with an orange glow and I look up to see something like this.
Stone, sculpted and unsculpted (Iona Abbey, Scotland. 2007)
Then there were the faces in trees… (or is it just me?)
All pictures taken by me, with a variety of cameras.
