This will be the 11th summer in my little house in Wauwatosa. While I’ve done a lot to the gardens on my fraction-of-an-acre lot, I’m also the lucky beneficiary of the gardener(s) before me. Whether it’s the gargantuan, fragrant lavender, the numerous, useful hostas, or these early summer beauties, I have many reasons to thank the gardeners who came before me.
PS – That peony bud will be something really spectacular in a few weeks, but I like the perfect globes of the buds almost as much as I love the flowers.
