I spent most of last week at a conference in Pittsburgh. As is usually the case with business travel, I didn’t get much time to sight-see. In fact I barely got outside at all. But I found myself looking longingly out the windows when I had a chance.
I loved the mix of old and new, industrial and residential, commercial and cultural all crammed together on the peninsula between the two rivers that border downtown Pittsburgh.
I had only a few hours before my flight home to wander around the city. While the weather was cool and the gray sky drained some of the color from the photos, I think they show some of the scrappy charm of the city.
If you get a chance, go. (And bring your walking shoes and a camera!)
