I’ve spent a fair amount of time on planes in the past couple of weeks. It’s a testament to how busy I’ve been that I find myself cherishing those moments after the cabin door closes and before the double chime that tells us we’ve gone over 10,000 feet and it’s time to drag out the laptop.
And when I say “cherish” I mean of course that I fall sound asleep.
A few weeks ago, I was dozing after taking off from O’Hare and cracked open my eyes to realize that we were doing a long lazy circle around downtown Chicago. The view was incredible, but my phone was off and tucked away in my bag and I didn’t get a picture.
Earlier this week, I was flying back from St. Louis when a stray shaft of light caught my eye. The iPhone didn’t do this sunset justice, and I didn’t get the horizon quite straight, but I’m grateful for the moment it did capture.
You never know when you’ll see something amazing do you?
